Must Be Tuesday
Due to this being Independence Day, July 4th for US citizens, my college class has been cancelled this evening along with last night. In addition, like almost all national holidays, the majority ot stores will be closed for people to celebrate with their families and such. As for me, nothing incredibly festive will be going on....if you count listening to the fireworks as they're being set off tonight festive. Usually when celebrating with relatives we would do a barbeque, however that option isn't workable this year. So, happy Independence Day to all who is celebrating it!

I am highly anticipating to see M. Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water, not only because the previews and trailers have already captured me with intrigue but also since I'm a huge fan of a Mr. Shyamalan's films. I'm excited to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, as well.

While watching the three-day marathon of The Twilight Zone, I've been seeing previews that Dark Angel will be syndicated in the SciFi Channel! Yays!

I still know nothing about Lady in the Water, but I, too, love M. Night Shyamalan. I need to see it!

And really? Sci Fi is going to air Dark Angel! Awesome! :D Thanks for posting it. I watch Sci Fi at random times, but I didn't hear about that yet. I gotta watch it.

I still know nothing about Lady in the Water, but I, too, love M. Night Shyamalan. I need to see it!

There's a full synopsis description about the overall plot out already along with the full-length trailer, however I don't know if you want to be completed spoiled for it. I always like being surprised, especially for the ending twist that M. Night Shyamalan usually does with his projects. I SO need to see this movie. It looks suspensefully awesome.

I'm so excited about Dark Angel being aired on the SciFi Channel! Even though I have both seasons on DVD, just knowing it'll be on the television screen again is good enough. *g*

I want to see both of those movies, too. What's your favorite MNS movie? I love 'The Sixth Sense', and the ending of 'Unbreakable', although both of those movies tend to give me the feeling of being... cold. Temperature wise, literally. 'Signs' is my favorite. You? It's a question I always want to ask people. The man is a genius.

My favorite M. Night Shyamalan film? Gosh, that's like asking what kind of chocolate do I favor the most! I loved how twistedly clever The Sixth Sense was, the symbolism with the color red, especially the ending.

But my absolute favorite movie to date would have to be The Village; it baffles me when people comment how pointless and unncessary that film was when really, they just didn't understand what the concept was trying to reveal and educate us as an audience. It's an example of what happens when a group of people try to create a utopian community, believing that if they have a small place without violence that is influenced by society, that violence will never occur ever again. However it backfires severely because, you can take a person out from violence, but there's no guarantee that violence will be gone from the person. Violence and chaos is everywhere, and it doesn't matter if you live in the city, on the countryside or create an Amish-like communtiy to remove yourself from modern things that could corrupt one's mind.

Most of his work are suspenseful and psychological thrillers, made to make the audience think. Which is what I love about his movies.

Have you seen The Skeleton Key? If not, I highly recommend it. It has the same kind of twists M. Night Shyamalan does, and it's definitely creepifying.

I haven't seen 'The Village' or 'The Skeleton Key', but have been wanting to. After your recommendations, I'll be sure to be on the lookout.
