EUGLASSIA WATSONIA.
Elementary 1.23 - 1.24 "The Woman/Herione"

Irene is Moriarty.

IRENE IS MORIARTY.

IRENE IS MORIARTY.

SRSLY, THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANTED THIS TO BE AND MORE.

I mean, the thing is with many fans we've been kind of wanting something like this. More often than not, fans (in general) will leave much speculated theories and hopeful wishes for the direction of a show they want to see go in and happen, but nine times out of ten it never does. Or if it does, it's not always in the awesome way we thought it would be. However, Elementary proves that THEY ARE INSIDE OF OUR HEADS because they have given us this exact thing that many have been wanting since the show began. Not only for a woman!Moriarty, but also for Irene and Moriarty to have merged as one person. And it was executed so brilliantly. I MEAN IT HAPPENED, IT'S A THING. MORIARTY IS A WOMAN AND IRENE ADLER ACTUALLY IS MORIARTY and the merging of two iconic ACD characters together into one person was not only something risky, but absolutely amazingly well done and they pulled it off beautifully AND IT JUST MAKES EVERYTHING SO MUCH COOLER TBH NEGL I FREAKED OUT BY THE AWESOME. FOUR FOR YOU SHOW, FOUR FOR YOU.

And Natalie Dormer as Irene/Moriarty was simply the most perfect casting choice ever. I mean, absolutely, there was no doubt that she would be amazing but she knocked everything out of the park with her performance and switching between her Irene persona to the reveal. ♥ All the awards.

Also? What I loved most of all was how not only did a woman outsmart Sherlock, but she got outsmarted by another woman. Joan motherfucking Watson solved the mystery that was Irene/Moriarty and it was glorious. There's actually a brilliant recap which describes the meaning behind these episode titles and why it's so relevant to who Irene/Moriarty and Joan are to Sherlock, and how their relationship with him is both the same and different at the same time, and why that is significant to how these characters are and just, omg.

AND THE BEES. SHERLOCK NAMED A BEE AFTER JOAN. HER SMILE AND HER STAYING TO WATCH THE BEES WITH HIM AND EVERYTHING COMING FULL CIRCLE FROM THE PILOT AND THEY ARE IN A BETTER PLACE AND THIS IS HER HOME NOW AND HE NEEDS HER AND SHE CARES FOR HIM AND OMG HI I LITERALLY CAN'T I AM DEAD OF THE CUTENESS OF THEM BYE. THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS POSSIBLY THE BEST THING EVER AND I AM SMILING BECAUSE PERFECT FINALE IS PERFECT. :DDDDDDDD

Bless this show. Bless the writers/producers for creating something that many people initially were wary about, but have proven them wrong by bringing us all this awesome and character development and platonic partnership between a man and a woman and all the inclusion and just everything. ♥ ♥ ♥

In conclusion, Elementary is perfection and happy-making and if you're not watching it you need to, like, immediately. It's THAT GOOD.

all of this. I actually GASPED when the reveal happened. Do you know how rare that is, for a show to surprise me that emotionally/amazingly?!?

It honestly surprised me that they actually went there. Rarely does stuff like that ever happen, and they did it, thus further impressing me with how awesome the people behind the show are. :D
