Decandido and Finding Serenity, which is a series of essays of the Firefly universe. And yes, both are in relation of Joss Whedon's ongoing Browncoat 'verse (in case anyone hadn't noticed.)

1984 is a great book. I'd recommend it. And Handmaid's Tale.
