Fandomosity: Jossverse (Firefly), Jewel Staite, Doctor Who, VMars

Happy Easter Sunday, everyone! Whether you're celebrating this holiday religiously or just having the regular Easter bunny goodness, I'm wishing everyone a glorious and happy-filled day.

-♠- Kaylee Frye Speaks Out: Jewel Staite updates her personal blog, giving the 411 about her recent travelings, her upcoming movie role and more goodies. Just like her character on Firefly and Serenity, Jewel is simply adorable when retelling her stories to her fans, and incredibly sweet and friendly in person as I have heard (hey, she surprised fans by attending a fan meetup once. How can you top that?). She has also signed up for two conventions (one in New Zealand on the 29th of April, and another in Australia on the 6th and 7th of May.

-♠- Browncoats Will Rise Again: As mentioned before about the Firefly Companion books, it has been confirmed that there Titan Books will be released two Firefly Companion editions!

-♠- Giles Side-To-Side With Doctor Who?: According to this recent interview with Anthony Stewart Head, he discusses his upcoming role on the brand new Doctor Who, among other shiny things. He also states that he wouldn't have minded getting the role of the 10th Doctor, which would've been quite interesting. This is quite unfortunate for me, and everyone else here in the States, because already the new series is airing overseas and we're still catching up on the 2005 series. I really want to see Anthony Stewart Head, gorrammit!

-♠- Take A Chance On Amber: Well-known Veronica Mars actor Michael Muhney (who plays Sheriff Don Lamb), really knows Amber Benson as he's worked alongside her in her independent film Lovers, Liars, and Lunatics that'll be released sometime this year. And in this article with Michael whilst discussing the wrapping up of season two, not only does he praise Amber but he has also "name-dropped her to the producers of Veronica Mars", also adding that "Since they’ve had Alyson Hannigan and Charisma Carpenter, and even Joss Whedon, why not get Amber on the series?" Completed agreed, Michael. Having Amber Benson guest-star on Veronica Mars would just be heavenly wonderful (and next I'd like to have Eliza Dushku, and all our Big Damn Heroes appear also on VMars, please! ♥) While nothing has been confirmed whether there'll be a third season or if CW will pick it up, let's just keep crossing our fingers for the best.
