Fandomosity: Jossverse (Actors), Heroes, Ayumi Hamasaki

December 1st, 2006. It has finally arrived people, the first day of the last month of the year. Also, time to be in preparation for the holiday season, if one hasn't already begun. It is also World AIDS Day; get personally involved and participate in stopping the spread of AIDS that has affected so many people worldwide. The HIV/AIDS pandemic affects all of us regardless of who we are, so please help spread the awareness of this deadly disease.

-♠- Badger, Badger, Badger...: Recently Mark Sheppard (Badger from Firefly) appeared in his reoccuring role on Medium this passed Wednesday, and now it's been announced that he'll be appearing in the last few episodes of Battlestar Galactica. It is said by Ron Moore that Mark will be playing a major role in the finale. I have some speculations on what his character might be, but I'm still anticipating hearing more and seeing him on yet another one of my favorite shows.

-♠- I'm In Ur Internetz -- Gettin' Mah Fame: Michelle Trachtenberg guest-starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent the other night, playing the character of Willow. The plotline of the episode clearly was a "ripped from the headlines" of the Lonelygirl15 YouTube videoblog fiasco that happened not too long ago. Michelle's performance was really good from what I saw, she held her poise and did fantastically with her performance. Although I'm not really huge on the "ripped from the headlines" plots used in shows, especially since the news coverage of the real thing had me scratching my head in confusion, they did a nice job at wrapping everything together. The ending was nice, and they actually had Larry King interviewing "Willow"! That was neat, and she looked very stylish and pretty as she was plastered on the huge outdoor big screens. And yes, the fake videoblog used in the show was called "Weeping Willow" (oh, the irony). Not a favorite episode per se, but Michelle did a great job nevertheless; if only it had been a Goren episode, would I have been gleeing in joy. Since Michelle guest-starred on House, now all they need to do is get her on Veronica Mars and it would be a perfect world....

-♠- Holding Out For A Hero: Although this may be old news since it was from two episodes ago, there was a recapping of the Heroes episode 1.09 "Homecoming" on EOnline which makes (hilarious) connections to BtVS. Here's the opening words to the entire: "Dear Joss, Love your show—mind if we borrow it? Coolthanks. Yours, Heroes." (P.S. nevermind the picture of the Ninth Doctor on the right of the page).

-♠- Queen of J-Pop: Ayumi Hamasaki has another PV out already from her brand new album, Secret, that recently came out: 1 LOVE. Ayumi is known for having diverse concepts for her videos, especially the creepy ones; this one falls under that category. It sort of a combination of a carnival/sideshow and cabaret. Her other recent PVs that were released were JEWEL and Momentum, both have winter-esque concepts and are extremely gorgeous. Momentum is especially sad, but beautiful kind of sadness.
