TB or not TB, that is the question.
Firstly, a huge warm welcome to those friended from the Heroes Friending Meme. Looking foward to furthering our Heroes love and beyond, aelora, dousehere and mutinousmuse, and hopefully I don't frighten you away too much with my fannish obsessions and squeeage or slightly insane topics of discussion.

Stephen Colbert versus Rain(Bi) and makes his own Korean RNB music video. The hilarity speaks for itself.

Speaking of which, there seems to be some legal controversy regarding Rain's popularity as he's planning on touring and promoting himself in the U.S. Unfortunately for him, the legal issue stands when a rock band entitled "Rain" wants the Korean artist to change his name. Excuse me, but what the flippity-fuck? Now, I'm not really a fanatic over him but I do like his music and I think this whole legal battle is just idiotic and stupid. This reminds me of the whole "Wyrd Sisters" and "Weird Sisters" legal debate for the fourth HP film, just because a fictional band had the same name, just spelled differently. But this...this is just ridiculous. First off, they are two different genres with two entirely different audience attractions. The whole thing is just stupid, and it should've never been an issue in the first place. I don't want his name to change, and I doubt it'll be Bi or Rain(Bi) since many Americans are immature twats that'll stir up much trouble if that happened, so many are speculating that it'll be changed to his birth-given name, Jeong Ji Hoon. But Lord knows that'll be mispronounced if he does make it here in the States.

He shouldn't have to change his name, period. I can't think of him as anything else other than Rain or Bi (pronounced like the letter "B", which in Korean translates to "rain"). *le sigh*

Now I've gotten that out of the way, it's time for Week Two of hmd_tuesdays:

1. What character do you resemble most, personality-wise?
This is difficult to answer. I'd say a little bit of House, a little bit of Wilson, a dab of Cuddy and perhaps like 0.01% of Cameron. It's really hard to explain, though I feel that the House and Wilson personalities contrast each other nicely; like a Yin-and-Yang, which is why they are so perfect paired together as long-time friends. There's that stubborn side that is Gregory House, yet that other half that likes to compromise and is the morality base of things. Cuddy for the obvious of strength and determination when being surrounding by idiotic things in life, the Kicking Ass And Taking Names part anyway. And I mentioned Cameron because, although I dislike her character, I am female and my emotions do sometimes distract me from important things. But I get over it and move on, and that's where the similarities end.

2. Which character upsets you the most?
Cameron, by a long-shot. I never actually had a problem with her until she started blackmailing House into going out with her. Then she plays this cat and mouse game with him, sending him flirtatious signals just really got under my skin. Also her need to have an emotional attachment was just getting old, and she continued to push the limits to her curiosity and take advantage of her job and House in general. Okay, perhaps in the third season she began to grow on me just a little, but her character overall hasn't really impressed me. The only time I rooted for Cameron was when she gotten herself high and had hot sex with Chase, and that's about it. Otherwise she just annoys me.

3. What's your favorite song used in a House episode?
God, now I have to go look through what songs played during which episodes. Oh well, I guess it would have to be "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC when House bought his new bitchin' cane. Or, as I like to call it, the Metalli-cane. Hee. Also, I like the theme song "Teardrop" by Massive Attack.

4. If you could tell the producers one thing regarding the show, what would it be?
The relationship between House and Wilson, obviously, and how developed it is and how I love their dynamic in their seriously dysfunctional friendship. I would also confront them about the House and Cuddy implications and wonder if anything is going to happen between them like please, pretty please producers and writers of the show?. There's been hints and subtext with their obvious banter that there might be something between them. Yeah, and I would say that this is SO the House/Wilson/Cuddy show. *g*

5. Which episode would you pick to showcase House to someone who has never even heard of the show before. Why?
"Three Stories", because it's a very trippy and comedy episode and will give some light to House's current state, i.e. his leg problem and how he interacts with people. It's also lighthearted fun as an episode. Perhaps "Damned If You Do" and "House vs. God" because it deals with the science/medical treatments versus miracles/religious beliefs, which are very thought-provoking without being preachy like with some shows.

HELLO! I have been in desperate need of more friends to babble about Heroes with, so I doubt your fannishness will scare me away. ;D

*waves greetings*

Believe me, once I start rambling about the show or the characters/actors I won't be able to stop. Seriously, it's my newest drug. It's the good kind of crack, and I'm totally addicted. Like, whoa.

Cameron bothers me the most by a lot too. And she really first began to seriously annoy me with the blackmailing too. It is like, who does she think she is? I'm sorry, but the world doesn't work like that. You don't blackmail your boss into DATING you in order for you to get your job back. And the games she would play with "I like you.... I don't like you!" was ridiculous. The only hot sex with Chase while hot was the peak of her character.

Haha, metalli-cane! :D

House/Cuddy FTW!

It was like, her constant need for someone dysfunctional and just something medically wrong with them as a way to reconnect with her deceased husband (and don't even get me started on THAT backstory, either, and how she justifies her actions). She just over all annoyed me with that, and her character didn't round off very well afterwards.

House/Cuddy = snarkalicious FTW. :D

Squeeage is absolutely necessary to maintain the health of the noggin. IDK. That is to say that I get a kick out of fangirling, so hurrah!

Metallicane= win.
Where's the Huddy sex already? Long overdue much, no?

I also believe that fannish obsessions are good health for the soul. It keeps one sane, even if fandom sometimes isn't. Hee.

Oh, House and Cuddy are doing it behind closed doors. They're just hush-hush about it. ;D

And Weevil/Veronica love! ♥

lol, the colbert singing in Korean skit is so funny! lol ^.^ I wonder how that suit will turn out... considering no one's heard of the US Rain... lol. Its not like his name is Kiss or Bon Jovi! >.>

yay House and Heroes! lol. Hope you're having lots of fun and don't get too anxious as to how the next season of Heroes will turn out... talk to you soon! *huggles*

I hope Rain wins the legal battle and everything. I mean seriously, I can't think of him as anything else. You're right though, I haven't even heard of the rock band "Rain" until just now. It's just too ridiculous. There's no doubt that OUR Rain has more of a popular following than this band, which kind of proves how they don't want someone from another country who is assumingly bigger in his publicity to share their name. But whatever, it's a stupid thing to begin with.

Hope you're having lots of fun and don't get too anxious as to how the next season of Heroes will turn out...

Does that mean you know something I don't? Because I'm avoiding ANYTHING spoilerish concerning the second season. I mean, I'm not getting my hopes incredibly high until I see how it turns out, but I'm a complete spoilerphobe for the Heroes fandom. :X
jirucloud on June 14th, 2007 11:15 pm (UTC)
lol, I agree... at least this way Rain the band can get some publicity? lol @ 'OUR Rain' ^.^

Does that mean you know something I don't?

No no no! I don't! I meant more of, don't think too much on the spoiler at the ending of the last ep and don't get too anxious waiting for the next season to start ^.^ does that make more sense though? lol

Oh, okay. Just had to clarify, since not everyone on my FList knows about my avoidance to spoilers for some of my fandoms. Especially Heroes. I've only heard some casting rumors here and there, but I'm avoiding those too. Heh. So don't worry, I won't get too anxious though I'm still on withdrawal from the finale, since I need my fandom fix! ;D
