Spice up your life!
THE SPICE GIRLS ARE BACK, BITCHES! Yes, score! The rumors have been confirmed by the girls themselves, and the group is about to make their reunion tour. To say that I'm totally psyched about this would be an understatement. I mean, seriously, I've been waiting for this since like, for-freaking-ever! I loved the Spice Girls when they came out, was devastated that they were short-lived, however their status was such an impact and now this wonderful news. Sign me up, I'm there.

Oh, and this is proof of the many reasons why I love Zachary Quinto. Warning, the videos autoplay and the interview is about an hour long like every interview with him should be, but it's well worth it. *squees at the mention of Mylar*

The other day I was flipping through channels and stumbled across Zenon: Girl from the 21st Century airing on Disney Channel. Ah, brings back memories. Despite the bright-colored outdated clothes of the late '90s, medicore acting, horrible dialogue and overall corny and cheesiness of it, it's still a good light-hearted fun kind of movie. And yes, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have the studio version of "Supernova Girl" on my computer. I actually listened to it after watching it, actually, and it never gets old. I dare anyone to make a BSG fanvid to that. Also, am I the only one who automatically thinks that when Zenon says the infamous exclaimation "Zedis Lapedis", that she's actually saying "Zedis la Penis"? Or is that just me and my gutter mind?

H'OH BOY, I saw that on the TV at work yesterday on my way back to my cubicle with lunch and had to STOP AND GRIN LIKE A FOOL AT THE TV IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY, I think all the old people thought I was crazy. XD XD

I literally SQUEED WITH JOY after they made their official announcement. I'm SO finding a way to go to their concert, even if I have to sell my own soul to do it.

I LOVE Zachary Quinto. So much. And I seriously let out a squeal at the Mylar mention.

Oh, God, Zenon. I still love the movies, especially the first two, despite their lack of redeeming features. I went out and bought the OST when the third movie came out just so I could get "Supernova Girl" and "The Galaxy is Ours" on CD. It's such a corny CD but I still listen to it every so often and just sort of - bounce around.

Seriously, ZQ is just made of so much awesome. *loves him*

I didn't even know they had soundtracks for the movies! Though it's not surprising, since DC likes making as much money possible. Which is why I'm scratching my head as to WHY they're not releasing the full seasons of The Suite Life. Like, hello? Whatever.

Hee, I like bouncing around to the songs too. It's still fun to do, no matter how corny. XD

What rock have I been under that I didn't know about the Spice Girls reunion? I probably won't be able to see them on tour, since money aside there's geographical issues that would make it a giant issue, but maybe they'll do more than just release a greatest hits album with 2 or 3 new tracks? *crosses fingers*

You have a studio copy of Supernova Girl? Any chance you'll upload it? Pretty please? I haven't seen the Zenon movies in forever (seems like those are one of the few things Family Channel up here doesn't repeat to an obnoxious level). Though the actress that plays her has been Maxie on General Hospital for so long now that it would probably just be weird. lol
Renéerogueslayer452 on June 30th, 2007 01:04 am (UTC)
Let's hope so! *crosses fingers with you*

Yeah, I know what you mean. DC replays the same old stuff over and over it's gets tiring, but every once and a while I'll be lucky enough to see certain movies that are rarely, if ever, shown on that channel anymore. I just wish they'd continue to show old school movies like they used to. It's funny whenever I see Kristen Storms on General Hospital I cry out "Zenon!" Heh.

Here you go: Supernova Girl (Zoom Zoom Zoom), enjoy!

wrote this last night but LJ was down...
Greatest hits CDs are awesome and all, but I've got everything but Forever (which my sister has, so it didn't feel like a huge loss not to have my own copy), so it'd be like paying all that money for a couple of new tracks... which I probably will do anyway, but a full album would rock.

Yeah, it totally feels like I'm being given a present when they air something I haven't seen in a couple years. Family Channel's movies are 2 on Friday, 4 on Saturday, and I think 3 on Sunday, but it's the same stuff constantly. Like, I love Camp Nowhere, but why is it on twice in two weeks? Spread it out a bit so I can be excited about it. Or in April? HSM was on every weekend for three. Love it, but not quite that much. And I totally know what you mean about Kristen Storms being on GH. It took me MONTHS to stop doing that when they replaced Robyn Richards with her. And I watch the show every day.

Thank you! You're awesome :D

grdnofevrythng and I are going to see the Spice Girls Dec. 11 in NYC for my birthday. As soon as tickets are on sale, we're so there! Haha! SO EXCITED!

who is Myler?
Renée: Sylar. Mine is an evil laugh.rogueslayer452 on July 2nd, 2007 12:22 am (UTC)
Mylar is the comination of Mohinder and Sylar for those who pair them off together. Mohinder/Sylar = Mylar.
Jennifer: misc_brookejenniferkaos on July 4th, 2007 04:05 pm (UTC)
I suppose that could be hot. haha. I've never thought of them in that way. :D
Renéerogueslayer452 on July 4th, 2007 07:08 pm (UTC)
Well, it's all in the subtext between the characters really. Basically, any chemistry or subtextiness between any character on the show is going to be paired off one way or another by someone in fandom, and the Mohinder/Sylar is just the starting point. There's LOTS of HoYays in Heroes, let me tell you (Mohinder/Sylar, Nathan/Peter, Peter/Mohinder, Bennet/Matt, the list goes on) ;)
Jennifer: misc_lindsay3jenniferkaos on July 4th, 2007 07:50 pm (UTC)
oh, that reminds me. someone had posted a while back a fan's guide to slash for Heroes characters. I don't remember what I did with it.
Renée: Namie Amuro.rogueslayer452 on July 4th, 2007 08:16 pm (UTC)
Heh, I have no doubt there has been gazillions several written. With Heroes, the HoYay cannot be denied even with the subtle subtext.
Jennifer: misc_haleybrookejenniferkaos on July 4th, 2007 08:21 pm (UTC)
who is Hoyay? Hiro? and who? haha
Renéerogueslayer452 on July 4th, 2007 08:30 pm (UTC)
HoYay = homoeroticism yay! The term is used when there's chemistry/subtext between two same-sex characters in any fandom. It's now a very popular fandom term, and widely used on TWoP.
Jennifer: misc_sophiajenniferkaos on July 4th, 2007 08:32 pm (UTC)
oh wow. I must be so out of the loop. haha. thanks for getting me up to date on these terms. anything else I should know?
Renée: Sylar. Mine is an evil laugh.rogueslayer452 on July 4th, 2007 08:38 pm (UTC)
That depends on how "out of the loop" you are. For future references, I think you'll find The Fanfiction Glossary quite helpful. It has definitions of certain fandom terms and is constantly being updated. :)

great...thanks so much. :D
