It seems that BoA is going to be making her American debut pretty soon, and apparently this has been secretly in the works for a while now. On one hand I hope she does successfully transferring from Asia to America with ease, on the other hand I'm a bit nervous. I'm going by the judgmental nature of the media and of the American music industry. How far will she go in popularity? How much press release and promotion will she get here? How will she be treated by others? I've been with BoA's career for a while now and I'm fearing they'll recreate her image to fit into the perception of what others are going to have because she's an international popstar. I don't want her to sound generic, I want BoA to still be BoA without stripping away everything that made her popular in the first place just so she's "accepted" into the American mainstream. But I don't know, we'll see how it goes. I'm just praying she does alright here, and on the upside it gains more of an international fanbase!
The official website is up, and it details her first U.S. single "Eat You Up", as well as some background info. The song is catchy, but I hate the US promo they used for it. The Korean teaser is more powerful, crisp and fresh.
So y'all better watch out for her, I know I will. BoA FIGHTING!
