Though she never really was gone, she'd just experimented musically with the type of rhythm and genres in the last albums she's released. I quite enjoyed Twisted Angel, and truthfully I liked the pop-influenced tone of it. However, I tend to lean more towards her country vocals better -- nevertheless, no matter what genre she decides to go under, she'll still be LeAnn Rimes, country singer to me. She still had that slight twang in her voice in Twisted Angel, which was probably why I was attracted to the album in the first place. It's a great album, in my opinion.
Yeah, I am a country music fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it. As a matter of fact, I love all genres of music -- it's just sometimes a certain artist will ruin it. LeAnn Rimes, Garth Brooks, and Dolly Parton are the two main country singers that started my liking for the genre long ago; while some country may be too twangy for me, I still like it.
But anywho, congratulations to LeAnn Rimes and her fabulous comeback to country! Go girl!
