Shake it like a polaroid picture!

++ I just watched Obama's speech at the Human Rights Campaign addressing the gay rights in the LGBT community, and it was a marvelous and moving speech. To have a president who engages so eloquently in this kind of activism, it makes me feel incredibly proud to be an American. Yes, I know the whole point of "actions speak louder than words" that people are throwing around with his promises, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Obama has accomplished much during his time in office, given us hope and a reason to look forward to the future, something this country needs. And the fight for equality and abolishing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is another step that has been a long time coming.

I also liked that with all the hoopla surrounding the Nobel Prize situation, he gives his own opinion about it by calling it a "call of action" and is to give the millions in cash from the award to charity. Our president, ladies and gentlemen. ♥

++ Okay, so after watching the "SOON" promo that accompanied after Thursday's Supernatural, something caught my attention that I couldn't stop thinking about, and I have to wonder if I'm not that insane for thinking this:

So, alright, I know that this is a reference to KITT from the Knight Rider series, and it makes sense that they would add it into the show for the crack episode that's coming up, but I couldn't help but think CYLON RAIDER! I mean, just look.

Doesn't that seem kinda Cylon-ish to you? Cylon Raider Impala FTW, bbs!

I mean, aside from my cracked out mind of adding many parallels to BSG as possible, wouldn't it be cool if they actually had some Battlestar Galactica references on Supernatural? They've had multiple BSG alumni on the show since season one, you'd think there would be at least something since they often do pop culture references. And I suspecting with that crackalicious episode that's coming soon, with the play on sitcoms and game shows and crime shows and the like, it wouldn't be out of their realm to do something BSG-ish. Hence why my brain went directly to OMGCYLON when I first saw the promo.

Also, with the wee!Antichrist episode that's coming up. I know it's the Good Omens episode that's been talked about and anticipated, but somehow I keep thinking of Hera with the half-human, half-demon hybrid thing (only it would make much better sense if it were a half-human/half-angel hybrid child because that would be more appropriate, imo, but whatevs). Because, you know, the Antichrist child is the "face of the shape of things to come...."

I DON'T KNOW WHY MY BRAIN KEEPS THINKING OF THESE THINGS! MY BSG PARALLELS ARE LIKE, TAKING OVER MY BRAIN! THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE BSG/SPN CROSSOVERS OUT THERE IN THE WORLD PPL! COME ONE!

In addition to all that's above, MARK SHEPPARD IS GOING TO BE GUEST-STARRING ON SPN! :D :D :D :D

Romo Lampkin will be on my Supernatural. Oh Holy Fucking Shit this is like the definition of Pure Awesome. That man has been seen like on every single damn show I've watched, from Firefly and Dollhouse to Battlestar Galactica and Medium and Bionic Woman. Jesus Christ, is there any show this man HASN'T been on?! Not that I'm complaining, I think it'll be absolutely fucking fantastic that's he's going to be on SPN with the boys. Hopefully on the same screen with Misha Collins, because HOT DAMN is that going to be something.

I am just beside myself with this news. Of course I was spoiled because even though the SPN fandom has done great with keeping casting spoilers hidden, being part of the Whedonverse and BSGverse they aren't as discreet about that stuff. Oh well, I'm excited anyway. :D

++ I'm in the middle of working on multiple fanmixes. At once. My brain just decided that it's a good idea to start as many projects as I can while being productive in real life, but also thinking of different concepts for these different kind of mixes. It's harder than it looks people, believe me. In the midst of that, I don't think I'll be writing a review from last week's SPN episode mainly because there wasn't enough meta material. I mean, with the boys and their relationship of course there always is, but I think some folks already said what I've been thinking and my opinions haven't really changed, so it would be kinda redundant to repeat them again. I might do a separate meta on Lucifer one of these days, because I find his representation on the show fascinating.
