THE WOMAN IN BLACK Teaser Trailer
Based on the classic ghost story, THE WOMAN IN BLACK tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House.

Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town's tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.

I did this play in the fall of 09 and it was so scary, psychologically. I freaked myself out even though I knew who the woman in black WAS. I was friends with her and ffs it didn't even matter!

I freaked myself out in this, too. I have goosebumps because I KNOW WHAT IS COMING.

haha /crazy

Dude, I'm just so freaking excited because it's just right up my alley. The story, the way this movie looks, everything. I CAN'T WAIT TO SHIT MYSELF WATCHING THIS IN THE THEATERS. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS STRANGE BUT I LOVE SCARY MOVIES OKAY? :D

I saw this play performed while I was in London a few years ago and holy shit, was it good. This movie's going to be loads different though, since the play was a two-man affair with the barest of props used for everything. Ugh, I can't wait!

I only heard of the story, but from everything it looks to be majorly creepy and scary. Which I like. And judging from the trailer it just looks to be on the level of much creepiness, so a definite yes for me seeing it.

I will end up not sleeping if I ever watch this. Not only that, the use of the wind up toys creep me out.

I can't believe that's actually Dan in there because it doesn't look like him at all. More grown up and distinguished. Must be the sideburns.

For me it's the Victorian clothes. Somehow it makes him more ~matured in a sense. Sophisticated. idk how else to explain it really, but goddamn boy. *__*

Seriously though, this trailer is extra creepy with the music and the children's narration and of course with the creepy wind-up toys. Just the whole atmosphere is uber creepifying....and I'm kinda loving it, tbh. ;)

While this looks like pretty standard fare horror/suspense (dolls, eerie children, black and white photography), I will most definitely go to see this, if only so that I might have context for all the HP crossover fics and vids that might pop up.

I'm very curious to see what else Daniel can do now that he's no longer the Boy Who Lived.

Aside from this and his Broadway show, I think Daniel will be going far in his career. Whether it's in front of the screen, on stage or behind the camera.
