Your current OTP.
A pairing or fandom you initially didn't consider but someone changed your mind.
I'd have to say Thorin/Bilbo again, simply because when I saw the first film I adored the friendship but wasn't set on shipping them yet. Until I started venturing into fanfiction, and it exploded from there.
A pairing or character you have never liked and probably never will.
Emily/Paige from Pretty Little Liars. I felt their relationship seemed very forced from the very start, and Paige doesn't seem to know Emily that well considering she seems to hold a particular view of her, and doesn't take her opinions and decisions into account. Like, I get that Paige had to undergo her own difficulty with coming out and accepting that she is a lesbian and all of that, and Emily was part of that process, and I don't doubt that she cares for Emily (and vice versa), but just the way their relationship has been never clicked with me. And based on recent events from the last season, they weren't going in the same direction and were clashing on things.
A pairing or character you wish you liked but just can't.
Bo/Lauren from Lost Girl. I tried, I really did, but I just don't really like them as a couple. They just don't have that level of chemistry like Bo does with people like Dyson and Tamsin. I mostly just think Lauren needs her own storyline to develop her character more than anything else, which unfortunately is part of the problem since the show hasn't done anything with her character. They could have last season, but they wasted that opportunity.
Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom?
I've done some hilariously awful fanmixes several years ago, including one for a crackpairing that had.
What's the longest you've ever been in a fandom?
I want to say Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because I got into the show during its third season and even after it ended I was still part of the fandom for a while, especially since Angel was still on.
Do you remember your first OTP? If so, what was in it?
Jason/Neri from Ocean Girl.
Do you prefer characters/pairings from live-action series or anime series?
Live-action, since that's mostly all I watch.
Has the Internet caused you to stop liking any fandoms? If so, which one(s) and why?
Yes. There's been a few, the biggest one was Supernatural. I used to be really into that fandom for a time, but the environment (of the show and the fandom) became too overwhelmingly negative and toxic for me that I distanced myself from it. I'm better for it, too. I don't regret the friendships I made through that fandom, I just regret the negativity that came afterwards and allowing myself to be affected by it.
Name a fandom you didn't care/think about until you saw it all over your social network sites.
I tend to be introduced to many things through the Internet at some point or another. That's the only way I find out about different fandoms, actually.
Do you get involved with fans and fandom? Or do you just focus on the works that you like?
It depends on the fandom. There are some that I do engage with the fandom, while others I tend to stay on the sidelines to enjoy. I do, however, like making new friends who share in the same fandom interests I do so we can talk and squee about them, which I guess is along the same line as getting involved with other fans.
Your favorite fan artist/author allows you to request one work from him/her. What do you ask for?
Definitely something involving my favorite pairing/OTP in a particular scenario that hasn't been drawn or written about yet.
Your favorite fanart or fan artist.
I adore Ewe's style of artwork, particularly for The Hobbit (Thorin/Bilbo). Also I really like what this person does for the ship as well. In general, there are tons of fanartists out there who are absolutely fantastic and I admire the different kinds of artistic styles.
Your favorite fanfiction or fan author.
I've read a lot of fics, especially as of late, though I don't think I pay attention to particular authors. Perhaps I should do a rec post sometime in the near future.
Choose a song at random. Which character or pairing does it remind you of?
"Apocalypse (Blood & Chrome)" by Bear McCreary, Brendan McCreary and Raya Yarbrough. It reminds me of Thorin. The Durin line in particular, but mostly Thorin. It has ominous lyrics ("Is this the beginning? Is this the end? All that's come before will come again" / "When my time's done, will I be in the ground or blazin' towards the sun?"), and the chorus is something I can imagine being sung in Khuzdul.
Invent a random AU for any fandom.
Pretty Little Liars: Spencer and Toby have both been involved with the "A" Team since the beginning, however neither of them knew the other were recruited until they were paired off for a particular task. This led to them questioning the other's involvement, but somehow finding kindred spirits in their own personal motives, and try to understand where it is they belong. I just like the idea of Spencer being involved, and Toby being recruited, and them falling in love through this particular path.
A ship or fandom that you've abandoned, and why.
Dean/Castiel. It's not that I dislike it, it's just not my main pairing anymore and I've just lost interest since I left that fandom behind.
A pairing you ship that you don't think anyone else ships.
Max/Zack from Dark Angel.
Show us an example of your personal head canon.
The Hobbit, Thorin/Bilbo: As part of a story I'm currently developing, in a parenting situation while Thorin and Bilbo are quite protective, Thorin can sometimes get a bit overprotective whereas his husband is firm but fair and slightly more lenient with rules, though he's more likely to spoil their child, something that Bilbo sometimes is exasperated about (even though he, too, does spoil their child every once in a while himself). Regardless, I don't view either of them as being incompetent in the parenting department, considering that in canon they both raised their nephews. They just are a bit flustered with the new level of responsibility and have slightly different cultural views, but otherwise manage just fine.
Do you remember what your first fanwork was?
Unofficially, I've been writing my own fanfic stories ever since junior high, though I've never, ever posted them. The first thing I contributed to fandom has been reviews, and then going into discussions and meta.
Are you one of those fans who can't watch anything without shipping?
Nope. When I get interested in something it's for the story and the characters, shipping is just a bonus.
Five favorite characters from five different fandoms.
Thorin Oakenshield, Spencer Hastings, Sansa Stark, Faith Lehane, Tamsin
Three OTPs from three different fandoms.
Thorin/Bilbo, Bo/Tamsin, John/Cameron
A fandom that you're in but that you have no ships from.
Orphan Black? I mean, there's Cosima/Delphine, but I'm not that into them as others seem to be. But otherwise I'm not really into shipping with this show.
