THE HOBBIT

Favorite female character: Tauriel and Galadriel.
Favorite male character: THORIN OAKENSHIELD, MY BAE. ♥
Least favorite character: Azog, of course.
Favorite ship: Bilbo/Thorin, my OTP. (◕ω◕✿)
Favorite friendship: Bilbo and Thorin, Bilbo and the rest of the Company, Thorin and Dwalin.
Favorite quote: "If this is to end in fire, then we shall all burn together."
Happiest moment: BILBO AND THORIN HUG! Also from the extended edition where Bilbo vouches for Thorin in Laketown. ♥ ♥ ♥
Saddest moment: When Bilbo suddenly realizes that he wasn't himself in Mirkwood after killing that spider-thing to get the ring. That moment of recognition that something wasn't right with him, that all of that for a ring, just makes me sad because it's only the beginning for him for something he isn't aware of. Also it's such a parallel to what Thorin is dealing with regarding the gold sickness, another sad moment is with everyone comparing him to his grandfather, worrying about whether he might become what Thror became (including Thorin worrying about this himself), only to know that he does end up succumbing to the sickness. I can't think anything sadder than the fate Thorin has, along with the fates of Fili and Kili. :(((((
Favorite location: The Shire, but also Erebor pre-Smaug.
Unpopular opinion: I love Tauriel, and I find Kili/Tauriel adorable. I also have no qualms with them splitting the book into three films (if it was only one film we wouldn't have the same emotional impact we're having now with BOTFA), and I like the inclusion of the additional stuff for the story to seem more complete in this vast world that Tolkien had created. Basically, I love these films, with Desolation of Smaug is by far my favorite of the trilogy so far.
