When in doubt, meme.
I've been feeling rather blah lately, so here is a fandom meme:

Give me a fandom and I'll tell you:
Favorite female character
Favorite male character
Least favorite character
Favorite ship
Favorite friendship
Favorite quote
Happiest moment
Saddest moment
Favorite location
Unpopular opinion

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. :(

Tony and Bruce being science bros is the BEST. I love those nerds.

Can you explain to me about Ward? Because I see all sorts of opinions on Tumblr and I get the impression that he's really not a good guy, but then some people are all, "OMG WARD IS MY WOOBIE HEART HEART HEART" and I am confused.

Ward was introduced to us as a newly recruited SHIELD agent in S1, where he was part of the team in that Golden Boy Hero archetype kind of way. Then it was revealed later on midway through the season that Ward was actually a HYDRA spy infiltrating SHIELD, and it wasn't just that he was a double agent the entire time, but he's a mass murderer with no remorse and pretty much doesn't think anything he did was wrong (and it's been more or less confirmed that he wasn't brainwashed). He manipulated and betrayed the entire team, pretty much screwing them all up in one way or another in fundamental ways.

So, yeah, that's the biggest revelation from the show about his character that has divided up the fandom.

Ugh, I get it. Like, if he were a female character, or a male character of lesser attractiveness, fandom would completely villainize him, but now he's got the Spike/Logan Echolls/Loki thing going for him. Gross.

Thanks for explaining it to me. :)

Yeah, pretty much. Especially with his creepy obsession with Skye which certain people try to romanticize, it's just gross.

And you're welcome. :)

Well, he had several years of experience as a SHIELD field agent/HYDRA infiltrator of SHIELD, but was newly recruited to Coulson's team. He pretended to be a somewhat boring closed off loner tough guy type with poor people skills, specifically to appeal to Coulson's stray-rehabilitating instincts, when he's actually very practiced at reading and manipulating people. And he keeps getting more sinister. I just watched this Tuesday's episode. Brrr.
