She looks just like that hot, hot Cylon!
The best moments and highlights to come out of SDCC 2K15, IMHO:
❤ The official Con Man trailer, the meta spoof of Firefly starring Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion and many other familiar faces (including Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Joss Whedon, Tricia Helfer, Sean Maher, Gina Torres, etc.)

❤ The Dubsmash battle between Hayley Atwell/Agent Carter and the Agents of Shield cast, which has given me so much life.

❤ Richard Armitage. Richard Armitage wearing Bryan Fuller's Star Wars jacket. Richard Armitage with the SDCC exclusive Byran Fuller Funko Pop Figure. Richard Armitage with a red dragon plushie. Richard Armitage, once again, wearing a flower crown. Richard Armitage putting the red dragon plushie on top of his head with the flower crown. Richard Armitage just being adorable and ridiculously attractive (to a lethal degree). RICHARD. ARMITAGE. (◕ω◕✿)

❤ MILD SPOILERS: First look at Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde in the second half of Hannibal S3. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

❤ Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart were there promoting Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Markiplier was also there.

❤ Sophie Turner and Natalie Dormer being adorable together.

The other one!
You can play spot the actor/actress that you do NOT know in Con Man, just like in Whedon's Much Ado about Nothing. :D

That's a dude!
lol, pretty much.

I really love the collaborative projects like this. You can always count on Whedonverse actors, and scifi actors in general, to happily participate in something fun and for the fans.

I love seeing all of the fun things that come out of SDCC! I've never gone myself but I love the stories :)

It's an event I would like to attend at least once in my lifetime, just to experience it, despite knowing how uber expensive and crowded it'll be.

I feel that way a bit but our biggest convention, FanExpo, has been getting larger and larger and the crowds are becoming less and less fun. I find there are a few things I want to do there but as the years go on I have less patience for getting into line ups which result in shoving matches etc. to get to a seat.

To be fair the convention staff often mess up any existing line organization which has created a lot of violent and scary situations.
Renéerogueslayer452 on July 13th, 2015 10:50 pm (UTC)
I feel like the bigger conventions get, the less fun they become, mostly due to how expensive everything gets to the crowds and how the convention staff attempt to organize everything which unfortunately can create way more chaos and problems than needed. I remember the one convention company, Creation Con, is guilty of being so highly disorganized (while ironically trying to be so tight with scheduling) and rushing everyone through everything and being too strict with rules that it's not exactly a favorable fan run convention. And I know many have said that SDCC has gotten too corporate than how it used to be, which while there can still be excitement over things it doesn't feel very fan-appreciated as it once did years ago.

I feel the only convention that I had the pleasure of attending that wasn't terribly disorganized or stressful in that regard was Dragon*Con. At the time I went, while it was crowded (and I did have a mild anxiety attack because of it) it was still highly enjoyable.

I agree. I've found recently that I've had so much more fun going to smaller conventions just outside of my city.

I've not done a Creation event ever, they were banned from Canada for 10 years for tax evasion (the urban legends is that a local fan who worked in the tax business in Canada caught them) but they've been back for a few years and their events just don't seem like fun to me. They're very expensive and you can't just do your own thing, it seems very scheduled.

I'd like to do Dragon*Con one year, it looks great :)

The Dubsmash battle was too cute. I love that cast! They've got such great chemistry in and out of the show.

I love how it was Hayley, I believe, who started using the dubsmash app and then come SDCC it just escalated from there, leading to what turns out to be the most entertaining highlight of the whole event.

And yeah, all of the cast have such a wonderful relationship with each other. You can tell how much fun they're having and it really makes me wish I could hang out with them. :)

Con Man is going to be awesome! I can't wait. Kind of sad that I didn't know about it until it was too late to support it, but I'm totally going to pay to see it at least. I think there was one person in the trailer I didn't recognize too!

♥ Oh my goodness, I hadn't seen the dubsmash battles before. That is freaking epic!

It's just so amazing seeing the actual trailer, and it looks really good. I'm definitely going to buy it once it comes out. :)

Seeing the outcome of the Dubsmash wars over the course of the weekend has been the most amusing and entertaining thing to come out of the whole thing, tbh. I love it when casts in general are huge dorks and able to have fun with these kinds of things.

I can't wait until it comes out! I haven't even seen it and I hope they do a second season of it!

Casts being dorks and having fun with these kinds of things, them obviously getting along with each other and just being awesome. It's one of the best things ever.

I didn't watch the trailer because I want to experience the Red Dragon reveal in all its glory when I finally see the episodes. :) I'm all caught up now, Season 3 got CRAZY!!!!
Renée: Kaylee. Giddy.rogueslayer452 on July 14th, 2015 03:13 am (UTC)
I haven't watched it myself, I've only seen the gifs on Tumblr and that's enough for me! And now there's promo pics from the eighth episode where he's introduced, and it's just enough to get me excited for what's to come. So excited! :D

Con Man looks awesome and hilarious and I can't wait to watch it xD :D

That dubsmash was epically awesome. And that video they took of Chloe's reaction was hilarious and too cute. And that ABBA song vid? Perfection xD Both casts are just ♥ :D
Renée: Agents of Shield. Skye.rogueslayer452 on July 15th, 2015 08:44 am (UTC)
It's gonna be so hilariously epic. ;D

I just love how it escalated over the course of the convention weekend, and how they were all having so much fun with it. I also love the videos where we see them actually making some of their dubsmashes, which is super amusing. Just, everything about this was awesome. ♥

I love the Dubsmash battle! :)
Renée: Kahlan. Facepalm.rogueslayer452 on July 15th, 2015 06:54 am (UTC)
It was literally one of the best things I've ever seen. I also love seeing Chloe's reaction to the one where they were using her own song, lol.
Abbeyplace_to_hide on July 15th, 2015 08:34 am (UTC)
haha. Yeah, it was all so great. I love the dubsmash that Chloe and Clark did to the Rihanna song. Haha.
