Like a mannequin, everything is so awkward.

So what have you been up to? Major life changes? Same old same old?
Nothing major. Mostly the same-old thing, with a few unfortunate circumstances, but overall there hasn't been anything exciting.

What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?
I guess I should just say that Richard Armitage is a fandom, yeah? Because that is mostly what I've been following of lately, from The Hobbit (♥) to his appearance on the last half of Hannibal, and just everything else he has done and will continue to do. I've just hopped on that fangirl bandwagon, and I spend a lot of time on Tumblr which thankfully there are plenty of Richard fans there to share in the love and constant squee. That's mostly been my main obsession of late. I've also been spending some time with the Life Is Strange fandom, just looking over the discussions, the theories and analysis of the game and story itself. Aside from that I mostly just lurk through the many different fandoms of things I'm interested in.

Where do you hang out online?
I mostly spend the most time here on LJ and on Tumblr, I also waste obscene amounts of time on YouTube, from regular people I watch and follow to just searching around.

What are you reading?
As Red As Blood by Salla Simukka. Before that I read Revenge by Yoko Ogawa (which was very good), and I'm still slowly making my way through the A Song Of Ice And Fire series. And of course, reading and rereading various fanfiction.

What are you watching?
Too many things. It's kind of ridiculous how many things I have lined up. I have quite a handful of shows that I have been watching, some of them have finished their summer seasons or are on hiatus, some I'm waiting for the fall season to start; some I have to catch up on, others I'm waiting so I can binge-watch. As what I'm currently watching at the moment, I've been selectively watching BBC's Robin Hood, the second season of Carmilla, catching up on all the episodes of Welcome To Night Vale that I have missed listening to (which includes starting back from the beginning as a refresher). I've also been heavily into YouTubers lately, mostly of the gaming/comedy community. I have regulars that I have been watching for a while now, such as Grace Helbig, Natalie Tran, and Markiplier, among some others. I'm also revving up with my horror movie watching in preparation for October/Halloween, because that's what I do.

What are you making?
I'm going to be making lunch soon.

What are you squeeing about today?
Richard Armitage, pretty much always these days, but especially with the news that he's going to be in a new spy series with Michelle Forbes and that he recorded something new for Audible.com. More to look forward to with that man! Also Red Velvet's "Dumb Dumb" music video, which came out not too long ago, but it's such a fun and lovely bop, I'm obsessed.

If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be...
For anyone who has a science fiction void in their soul, especially for former Firefly and Battlestar Galactica fans, Dark Matter and Humans fill that particular need wonderfully. There's not only diverse characters, but also fantastic women and really good stories being told. Stitchers is another that I've come to really like. The plot may seem hokey and the pilot may be a hit or miss for some, but trust me when I say those things can be overlooked with how the season is overall. It's only ten episodes, and you do become quite attached to certain characters, even ones that you didn't even intend to from the start. At least, that was my experience. For anyone who plays video games or likes watching Let's Plays, The Last Of Us, Life Is Strange, and Until Dawn is worth checking out. And if anyone hasn't watched it already, Mad Max: Fury Road isn't just gorgeous but it's certainly worth the hype and praise, as well.

What else is on your mind?
Just trying to get through the day, as you do. And possibly squeeze in some time for catching up on some shows before binge-watching on some newer ones.

I've been watching a lot of stuff as well, especially YouTubers, like the ones you've listed *^^*

I have definitely taken a look at both Until Dawn and The Last of Us, and those were really good :)

I'm going to snag this meme! I actually haven't seen it going around.

I forget if I asked you this before...what's your Tumblr name?

I might check out Dark Matter soon, as Humans has so far been disappointingly dull? I just watched episode four and I'm going to give the next episode a go and if it doesn't pick up I'll likely drop it, which makes me sad, because androids + Colin Morgan should have been enough to keep me around. =/

I'm sooooo behind on Hannibal; I think I've seen like two episodes this season? I really want to catch up, though, I heard some really cool things happen!

Here I am. I don't update it as often as I do here, but I'm constantly on there going through my dash and liking a billion things, so. Yeah. :)

I've really enjoyed Humans, since I can never pass up anything that features machines being sentient and having feelings thus giving me all the feels in return, but it is quite slow. It's not action-packed in terms of what we normally see with the whole humans versus machines stories, but I quite liked it. I really like Gemma Chan, who has basically captured my attention throughout the whole show. She is brilliant.

OMG, you must catch up with Hannibal! This season was so good, the second half especially. It was nothing short of amazing. :D

She went off brand with that video which is something she rarely, if ever, does on her channel, so you knew it was serious business. And she was so eloquent and articulate with her message in that response, it made me really adore her all over again. I mean, she was under no obligation to make that video, and yet she did because it had personally affected her and she needed this outlet to get her thoughts out. And she did it in the most humble, positive way she could, which is a lot considering how horrible and offensive that particular video she was responding to was. And I'm just so proud of her for making that, along with everyone else who made a video commenting on that recent controversy.

(And I have to say, the fact that the person in question for making that original video still doesn't get it is quite sad, if not incredibly telling how they truly are on the inside -- Grace is a far better person than they ever will be.)

And no, I haven't heard anything about it.

Dark Matter is pretty awesome, indeed. The cast is diverse and all the women featured are amazing, and the story itself is intriguing. I definitely recommend it. :)

When they started to announce cast for The Hobbit I just couldn't picture Richard Armitage as Thorin and then after watching it I had to double check that it was the same Armitage as the one in Robin Hood because I'd only ever seen him as Guy of Gisborne and was in just complete disbelief that he is such a diverse and awesome actor. He's truly amazing.

Dark Matter is awesome, I'm so glad I gave it a shot.

I wasn't even aware of who he was until The Hobbit, and since seeing those films I looked at everything else he's done and he's just one of those actors who exudes so much versatility with his acting. He brings so much life to every single character he plays, adding his own nuance into each role. It's remarkable to see what he's done and how far he's come with his work. ♥

I want to watch more with him in. Maybe even rewatch Robin Hood, the first time I watched it, I didn't like Guy and I really think I'd feel differently this time.

He's such a charismatic actor and I truly believe that he could play any role he wanted to and not only be convincing, but completely own it.

I think I will have to check Dark Matter and Humans, from what you said.

I think you'll end up liking them, they're pretty awesome. Of course they're different in how they approach the scifi element, but regardless they're both fascinating watches. :)

I really enjoyed Dark Matter, a very under-appreciated sci-fi show. btw; what did you think of that finale(specially, like, the last 10 seconds)? I so did not see it being him, I was like whaaaaat. lol

I'd qualify it as if you can consider One Direction fans to be a fandom, then you can have a fandom around a person as well :P Maybe not as a fandom in the definition of the world, but close enough.

Purportedly, Last of Us 2 has been semi-unintentionally confirmed, depending on how you interpret some comments by the studio.
