HARRY POTTER

The character I least understand: Ron and Ginny
Interactions I enjoyed the most: Harry and Hermione had a lot of great moments in the series, they had such a wonderful friendship. Harry and Luna also had some great moments too, mostly because Luna was someone who believed in Harry when nobody else would, and Harry was not only nice and kind to Luna but also respected and understood her despite what others would say about her. And, of course, I have to mention the interactions between Harry and Draco because despite their antagonistic nature for most of the series it was still interesting, particularly in the books when there was a lot more snark and sarcasm being thrown.
The character who scares me the most: Most definitely Umbridge, without a doubt. She was a character specifically designed to scare you because we've all known someone of authority like her, everything she did was infuriating and terrifying.
The character who is mostly like me: Probably Luna Lovegood
Hottest looks character: Lucius Malfoy, mostly due to Jason Isaacs in the films, especially in the last two with him being disheveled.
One thing I dislike about my fave character: Draco was basically a little shit for most of the series, intentionally so of course, but I did wish we had more of his character than just being one-dimensional nasty until the last two books where he finally got some character development and growth.
One thing I like about my hated character: Ron was mostly a comic relief in the films, so there's that. Snape was portrayed by Alan Rickman, who became quite iconic in the role. And at least Dumbledore served some vital purpose to the overall plot, even if I didn't like it.
A quote or scene that haunts me: Sirius going through the veil. I remember getting to that scene in the book and being absolutely devastated and livid. I paraded around with SIRIUS LIVES for the longest time because I was in utter denial, and had hoped that he would somehow be resurrected or brought back somehow.
A death that left me indifferent: Snape's death. It just didn't really affect me all that much, considering my lack of opinion of him in the end.
A character I wish died but didn’t: Ron.
My ship that never sailed: Harry/Hermione, Harry/Luna, Krum/Hermione (briefly it did in Goblet of Fire, but it was mostly a small thing and should have been a longer relationship imho), Remus/Sirius, and Harry/Draco. Basically, I don't really like most of the canon couples in the series aside from Lucius/Narcissa, lol.

2) disheveled!Lucius in the last films was WAY too attractive. AGREED!

3) A *HUGE* reason I enjoy fanfic!Draco so much is that we actually get to see some character depth. He had so much potential and I feel like JK just didn't really tap into it.

4) I totally had the "Sirius lives!" mantra going on too. FOR SURE.

5) REMUS/SIRIUS FOREVER! I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS, IT WAS CANON!!!!

Exactly. While I generally only read Harry/Draco fics, there is a lot of great exploration of his character particularly post-war that I greatly appreciate and enjoy. There is so much to examine with him because he went through so much in HBP and DH, and I really like seeing the different interpretations of how he integrated back into wizarding society and dealt with the trauma of everything that happened. Ever since the sixth book Draco was shown to be quite a dynamic character and there was a lot of rich potential and opportunity to further expand him, give him more growth and development, but alas it was never done. Thank goodness for fandom, though.

(Sadly, I think JKR has a bias against Draco as a character, not to mention Slytherins in general, as evidenced from her statements post-series.)

JKR absolutely has a bias against Slytherins. Well, okay, I think she has a bias against certain character tropes and most of them just happen to be Slytherins. Like, she seemed to really like Regulus, but he was also an atypical Slytherin.
