PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

The character I least understand: Aria Montgomery, Ezra Fitz, Sara Harvey
Interactions I enjoyed the most: The girls and their friendship, it's pretty much the reason why I stuck around for the show as long as I did. Their friendship was the strongest and the core of everything. I also love the girls and most of the relationships they have with their families, particularly their mothers.
The character who scares me the most: I'm not quite sure. While he was proven to be a crooked cop, Wilden was unsettling in the way he stalked and approached the girls, particularly his interest with Hanna.
The character who is mostly like me: Hanna
Hottest looks character: Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin, Mona Vanderwaal, Caleb Rivers, Jason DiLaurentis
One thing I dislike about my fave character: While all of them are guilty of this numerous of times, Spencer could be too quick to jump to conclusions, especially when she is trying to piece together a complicated puzzle and won't let it go. She can become quite obsessive when she needs to figure out the problem. I also don't like how the girls end up forgiving certain characters while vilifying others, such as Mona who has apologized for her previous behavior.
One thing I like about my hated character: I actually liked the reveal about Ezra Fitz and his true intentions with his research and stalking the girls, it had much potential and I was actually rooting for the show to go through with it because it would have been a fascinating twist of events. It's unfortunate that the show chickened out on it.
A quote or scene that haunts me: Plenty of scenes, this show, for all its flaws and faults, does excellent suspense moments. I think the dollhouse was perhaps the creepiest the show has ever done, just the notion of having the girls being kidnapped and placed in an underground dollhouse prison was bone-chilling. Out of everything the girls have endured, that was the biggest one that psychologically stuck with them for the longest time.
A death that left me indifferent: Shana, simply because it was so random (her turning, the explanation which in hindsight doesn't even make much sense) and it wasn't dealt with much after the fact. Sure, Aria felt guilt over it for a few episodes, but then it was never brought up again.
A character I wish died but didn’t: Ezra Fitz, Sara Harvey
My ship that never sailed: Spencer/Jason, and while they kinda did briefly I'm not holding any hope that Emily/Alison will officially become a couple on the show, especially since the showrunner has been unfairly trolling fans and making up excuses. No matter, they're canon to me.

I keep forgetting about Sara Harvey (she's such a pointless character to me). I never understood Shana and the whole Jenna is A thing. I wish the show kept Ezra as A, and then he would have been dead.

Sara Harvey is practically a forgettable character because her addition was so left field and her "reveal" utterly predictable (like yeah, you brought in a new character who is acting suspicious and you expect us to be wowed by her being a culprit the entire time? lol please), and I hated that they killed off Charlotte, an actual interesting character who had a lot to offer the plot, instead of her. I also never understood how Emily would instantly have feelings for someone like that only like a week and some from knowing her. Like??? It made no sense whatsoever.

(And I truly believe Sara was added in simply because they had no clue how to go about the "A" reveal and needed an accomplice but decided against the original idea of it having be someone the girls knew well, because who needs an actual emotional impact that would shake the girls more?)

The one thing I never understood is that, when Mona was telling the girls the things she knew, she said that both Shana and Jenna were not only in cahoots with Melissa but were also scared of her. But that never came back up again? Like, this show has a shitload of plot holes and things that never quite added up and were never revisited again.

Ezra being "A" not only made sense, it would've completely gone with the theme of the show from the beginning of someone stalking the girls, with most of the predators being male. But of course the show basically glossed over the fact that this adult male was spying and stalking teenage girls, he files on them, their secrets, everything, all because it was a red-herring. But just because he wasn't "A" didn't mean he couldn't be an antagonist. I actually would have enjoyed Ezra more as a character if they went in that direction, and for Aria to wise up due to being disillusioned by who he really was a la Skye from Agents of Shield when she found out that Ward was Hydra. It would've been a fascinating twist, to say the least. But, of course, it was yet another opportunity wasted.
