Let's Lin-Manuel this Miranda.
++ Deadpool: The Musical 2 is a fanmade parody that was recently just released. The first one was already fantastic, but this one definitely takes the cake with them going above and beyond. Adding in not just the X-Men and the Avengers but also other Marvel character cameos (which is just as hilarious as the whole "Infinity War But Everyone Is Deadpool" trailer mashup), parodying Disney songs along with making the joke about them now being owned by Disney, it's just gold from start to finish. It's absolutely hilarious and the overall production was well-done. Bravo to everyone who worked on it, y'all knocked it out of the park. I think Ryan Reynolds would be proud.

++ Speaking of Deadpool, I've been addicted to watching all of D. Piddy's convention videos. I, of course, knew of him since seeing a few in the past, but I've just been consuming them because they're entertaining and I love seeing cosplayers roleplaying and just being silly with each other.

++ SDCC is this week! I pretty much nearly forgot that it was happening this soon, lol. I only know of a few panels that I'm interested in, but just like with E3 I'm sure the more that comes out from it the more invested I'll be. I'm usually just catching up on everything after the fact anyway, since there's with anything SDCC related there's a lot of unpack with trailers and footage of upcoming shows, movies, projects, interviews, panels, etc.

++ BBC released a trailer for their upcoming dramas, which features some intriguing ones. Luther is coming back, Doctor Who (new teaser here) which I'm very excited about with Thirteen because I know I'm gonna love her, and interestingly enough Killing Eve will be premiering on the BBC. It has already aired on BBC America and Sandra Oh has been nominated for an Emmy for her role on the series, which is such a huge deal and I'm incredibly proud of her for such an achievement.

Hahaha that musical parody was hilarious 😂

SDCC also sneaked up on me this year, but I've already made plans to try and get into the panels that interest me and if not, there's always a playback room with good air conditioning waiting for me lol

I've been meaning to watch Killing Eve because all the gifs I've seen look awesome, but I get distracted with other shows.

One of these days I'll attend SDCC, because it's one of those events that you kinda have to go to at least once in your lifetime. Though SDCC is also something that gets bigger and grander every year, and you have to plan wayyy in advance if you're serious about going. But until then, I'll just be those people who sit at home refreshing things to get live updates on when it's actually happening. :)

I have yet to see the entirety of Killing Eve myself, just the first two episodes, but the first season is only eight episodes, so.

SDCC can get hectic and tiring, but it's so much fun and worth experiencing, and once you get the hang of it it's even better :)

Yeah, and the thing is I'm an introvert and I can get rather claustrophobic in large crowds for a prolonged period of time, which sucks when there are events such as this that I want to attend. Which I do go to conventions every now and then, but I have to plan it so I don't overexert myself, y'know? But those are smaller in comparison to this. And for something like SDCC that is humongous and always busy and crowded and hectic, I would have to do major preparation should I plan go in the future.

Oh. I get it, With so many people around even walking gets overwhelming, Whenever I get antsy because of all the people I go hide in the artist's alley (it's the less crowded part since most people stick to the big studio booths), or go looking for a mostly empty spot outside near the bay. I hope one day you can make it to SDCC and experience the whole thing! :D

I remember when I attended Dragon*Con several years back that I had a mild anxiety attack because I had become quite overwhelmed. I mean, don't get me wrong I had fun during that weekend and don't regret going one bit (and in fact I want to return to that convention one of these days), but it was that incident that made me rethink how to approach conventions as a whole. Now I kind of schedule it around their schedules, knowing which panels/events I really want to go to and have a back-up plan just in case, and if I ever feel too overwhelmed for any reason to just step outside or go to a place that has minimal people as possible to take that breather.

I can’t believe it’s already SDCC time again. Can’t wait for all the amazing trailers and news we will surely get!

I nearly slipped my mind. Part of me thought that it was sometime later in the year, but idk why. Regardless, I'm pretty excited to see what will come out of SDCC this year with the trailers and footage and whatnot. :D

omg, that DP Musical is hilarious! I didn't see the whole first one, just one song...didn't realize there was more than that.

I love how well-made both of them are, the second one especially since they went all out. And I'll be honest, I got a lot of their versions of the songs stuck in my head after watching them because, of course. ;D

YES. I definitely think Ryan Reynolds would be proud for sure.

Thanks for the link to D Piddy. I love watching cosplayers interact.

I am seriously considering starting to watch Doctor Who because of Thirteen.

You're welcome. :) I love watching those kinds of videos, it's always nice to see how much fun cosplayers are having.

I have a love/hate relationship with Doctor Who, but ever since the announcement about Thirteen and then seeing the trailers and everything, I am definitely going to be watching again. It looks so delightful!

Thanks for the links to the musicals! They were amazing, especially the SpideyPool reference and Disney-princess!Deadpool.

I also watched the latest cosplay video. Like you, I've seen a few in the past, but it's been a while now.
Renéerogueslayer452 on July 21st, 2018 07:07 pm (UTC)
You're welcome! I'm also glad for the Spideypool moment, too. Just all the shoutouts, it was great. :D

I’m really looking forward to checking out Killing Eve! It’s been a bit confusing how we have to wait so much longer to see it, even though idk I keep hearing it being referred too as a British show and associated with the BBC
Renée: Sarah Manning. One of a kind.rogueslayer452 on July 21st, 2018 06:47 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that's kind of confusing me as well. It's considered a British-made show, but shown primarily on BBC America which will later be shown in the UK. So, idk how all of that works.
